How WAME Works
WAME is an organisation seeking the active participation of editors of peer-reviewed medical journals throughout the world.
WAME has established Bylaws and operates through a Board of Directors and 6 Committees (see WAME People): all unpaid volunteers. All members are encouraged to take an active interest in the listserves, committees, and development activities of the association.
WAME Committees
The Education Committee, chaired by Tom Lang, developed a resource list for medical editors (see WAME Resources) and has several ongoing projects.
The Web Committee, chaired by Margaret Winker, is responsible for maintaining the Web site and Internet communications between WAME members.
The Ethics Committee, chaired by Lorraine Ferris, provides Ethics Consultations and has developed a number of Ethics Resources.
The Finance Committee, chaired by Tom Lang, is managing WAME's slender budget.
The Membership Committee, chaired by Rod Rohrich, is maintaining the membership list, formalising requirements for membership and promoting WAME to potential members. A list of current members is available (member access only).
